The Mighty Shrimpers

 

Founded in 1906 in a pub, The Blue Boar, near the Roots Hall stadium.

Landlord Ollie Trigg nicks a few players from Southend Athletic and away we go.

Playing at Roots Hall site then the Kursaal, then the Greyhound Stadium.

Then at the home of football again, in 1955 at the rebuilt Roots Hall Stadium- built by the fans! Heroes!

Freehold of the site given to the club in the 1960's! Mugs!

New stadium ready for 2010 season!
