Barnsley 0 SUFC 2

Prawn Towers sent a strong team to Yorkshire for this game, with Prawn Connery and Jerri Prawniwell making a weekend of it and Fish Walsh riding the TZ coaches into TykeLand. The throats are a bit dry, only one beer for Fish who reckons 2-1 Barnsley, Prawn and Jerri are happy to see Hursty and Kamara in, predicting a 2-1 Blues win. Nick goes for 2-2. Also in is Thommo, OUT are Big Willy Atko, Bulge and unlucky Wozza.

First Half and after just 4 minutes Barney lets the ball through to Payney who bursts Barnsley Oakwell 2though and SCORES! 1-0 Blues! BarnDoor come back and clip side netting thanks to a Cheeky Hando from Barratt. Cokes doing a ninja impression says Prawn. He also likes Hursty and Whitey giving width. Great work by Hursty and Barney forces a save. Thommo shot, corner, Payney shot, another corner, 3 in 2mins, good spell for Blues. Wordy hits the bar, Barndoor all over the shop.  Danger as Bents gets a yellow and brings a man down. PENALTY! Hooly takes it – MISSED! BarnDoor restricted to long shots, but Bent has to save, corner comes to nothing.

Halftime 1-0 Blues, Prawn well pleased, “Bossing this half, proper up for it. Barnett playing very well up top, Payne could be on for MOTM…” But Blues have got to win the second half yet! Kamara’s having a good game.

Second Half and Hursty has a shot blocked, BarnDoor have a dangerous freekick, defended well. Another one, Blues wall blocks it. Barnsley pushing forward, Bentley saves. WatFug heads wide, good chance missed. Sub for Blues, Mclaugh-in on for the Poet. BarnDoor have freekicks galore. Blues up against it, working hard, Bents saves again. Big Willy Atko on for Hursty, Timlin on for Kamara. Widdle shot just wide for BarnDoor. Can’t relieve the pressure, counter by Payney, shot saved! Blues fans start to celebrate, last minute, freekick worked to Timlin, great strike, GOAL 2-0 Blues! What a rocket! The Blues fans go wild! Full time 2-0 to the Mighty Shrimpers!

Ron Marlin clapped the away fans after the game, Prawn says “We always try for teams that are higher than us! So annoying we can’t play that way every game”. Fish says “Easy Easy” !!! Steady lads!
