Shrimpers 3 Col Doomed 0

Nick Prawnby reports from a breezy Roots Hall on the visit of the 2nd team in Essex. Col Ewe sat top of Division Four, one place above Northampton. Just one change with Birthday Boy McQueen in for bad boys Digger/Timmo. A full house watched with Nick and Fish Walsh.

First Half and Col Ewe succeed in keeping the game scrappy, Blooz with wind behind them, Hendrie skims the post, Bents tips a cross onto the bar. Payne shoots just over, Barney shoots just wide, Lenny clears North Bank aiming for Col Ewe coaches. Then RED CARD for Giblets as he chops down Lenny, 36 mins. The Ewes work hard, a few corners, still 50-50, Blues not spreading the ball, Halftime 0-0, Browntrout need to get tactics right.

Second Half and Kamarara replaces the crocked Lenny, dirty North Essex team. O’Neil shoots just over, then sub The Poet comes on for his first game in 3 months, replacing Thommo, need to push forward more. He’s scored for Ewe’s against us, can he repeat the feat? Wozza comes on for Big Willy, but crowd getting frustrated, keep trying to walk the ball thru the middle. But Wozza is stretching the Ewe’s defence and POETIC JUSTICE as Wordsworth shoots in from 25 yards! 1-0 Blues! Col Ewe still hanging on until up pops BARRATT 2-0 Blues! Heads drop in the Col Ewe team and no suprise when Payney causes panic and McQueen rolls in for 3-0!

Full Time 3-0 Blues!! One Team In Essex!
