Southsunny 2 Scunny 1

Hoping for confidence to surge thru the Shrimpers after the Millwall victory. We hope the fan frustration will be directed at the players not the manager…. One change, Cokes back in and Pross in the middle instead of Basher Barrett. MoonPig.com continue up front. Prawn predicts 2-0, grump Fish says 1-1. Also Nick Prawnby a less than positive 2-2.

First Half and the Blues are still zedding away with the Roots Hall Blues, Scunny haven’t won away since January but take the lead thru McSheeply. 0-1. Finally Blues stop being patient and wake up -Browntrout switches Wozza to the left, he combines with Cokes who crosses and Blooz equalise with Timo! 1-1

Half Time 1-1 at a nervy Roots Hall, we talk about how much better Cokes is when he has a winger in front of him.

Second half and Blues are more fired up, it’s a hot summer’s day and Lollie is so fired up for Scunny that he melts in the sun and is subbed. Also on is Hunty for the Pig before he became a hog roast. A good interchange from Blooz as we attack the North Stand and hard working Hunty sets up Cokes with a great reverse ball – great shot 2-1! The Hall goes mental!! Can Blues push on? Scunny hit the post , make subs and it’s anyones game. Their Dutch player White Van de Rayleigh Weir looks dangerous. Bents pulls off a few excellent saves to keep our noses ahead. Moon gets one-on-one with keeper Luke (Paul) Daniels who pulls a rabbit out of the hat with a magic save – do we like it – not a lot! Great chance for 3-1 there. Captain Timo gets hit hard and that means 5 mins of injury time but Blues hold out despite some dodgy corner time wasting and it’s 3 points versus SUFC!
