SUFC 1 PORT FAIL 0

Fish Walsh reports from Roots Hall

Blues bounced back from a defeat at Burta Nalbion with a 3-0 win at Crawleech, can they get a win against Grimsdale who are eighth and doing alright.

Kick off and we’re looking forward to a Grant v Lenny dive-off. Grimsdale start well, putting it about and Grant already booked. Grimsdale rough tactics annoy Phil Browntrout who is already rowing with Port manager Elaine Page, fresh from her performance in Condom Of The Opera.

Elaine PageManager Elaine Page appeals everything.

Grimsdale have chances, Westy playing well but misses chances. Blues hit the post as we all cheer a goal. Granty just wide, exciting game. Digger booked, then Whitey and Duffy who is a cock. A football match keeps breaking out in the middle of brawling. Grimsdale are thuggish, Elaine Page up for a fight.

IMG_20151010_155732Westy misses 1-on-1, Bentley saves well. Phil tells Elaine to shut it.

Halftime 0-0, take a breather and calm down

Second Half And Grimsdale keeper walks out saying a prayer. But it’s Bents making the first save, Digger long shot just over, The Poet comes on for unhappy Digger, undroppable Lenny into middle. Blues disjointed up front, lack of communication…. then Poet pulls back for the Pig and he scores! 1-0! 63 mins. Timo off for Big Willy, Grimsdale diving about, more Bents saves, Westy curls one over. Vale on top now, fire over from 3 yards, Westy fouled but no pen. Pig booked, 4 mins of Grimsdale causing an injury time, but Blues grind it out! Up yours Elaine!
